Q: Tell us about you and your business?

A: I am the team leader for The Nolan Group. Through the systems and tools provided by RE/MAX,  along with some awesome relationships, my team and I have been able to grow a lot over the last 5 years in Maryland. We have a total of 114 yrs of experience in real estate throughout the team. This, along with some of the top systems on the market and dedicated agents, our team will continue to grow and scale moving into the future.

Q: Tell us about your Family?

A: I am a divorced man, however, I raised two step kids that are as good as mine. My mother, father, sister, and brother (deceased), as well as my team, are some of the most wonderful people and I know that I can always count on them.

Q: Tell us about your Community?

A: In my past life I was a cop with the US Capitol Police. I did some great things there but there felt like something was missing. I always wanted to get into real estate, so when I decided to make the change I jumped in with both feet. That being said, it was the best thing I could have ever done, it allowed me to help those in my community more than I could have ever imagined. I found that after years and years of following rules there was so much that could be done with the power of a real estate team. It has truly been rewarding. And now that we serve MD, DC, VA, and FL, my community just keeps growing and it is an amazing feeling.

Q: Tell us how you serve or give back to your community?

A: We have provided meals for the hungry and have provided support for victims of storms. Yes, we have helped the unfortunate, but the greatest passion that I have is to help Veterans and their families. We started the Lucky Home Program, which is a program where we give a portion of our proceeds to Melwood, to help Veterans with PTSD. We have flown Children of Veterans to see Santa on a small jet —which that was amazing. As all of these things will remain super important to me and my team, it is imperative that we show support for our first responders and do everything we can to show appreciation and let them know we have their backs.

Q: How did you come about selecting this cause?

A: Being a Marine Corps Vet and a former cop, I know first hand what they are going through and I know they need our support.

Q: What are some of the specific things you have done to support this cause?

A: We created the Lucky home Program to support the healing of veterans with PTSD, we have participated in Kanes Flight to the North pole to assist the kids. For the cops, on a regular basis, we bring meals and supplies to the first responders to show our support and appreciation. I am currently working on a more substantial program.

Q: What has been the impact on the community, your team, and your family?

A: I have met the children, veterans, and cops that we have helped and it is amazing when you can see the impact in their eyes. I don’t think I can necessarily put that into words.

Q: What are your plans going forward?

A: We will continue to grow and scale our company while providing the best possible systems.

Q: How would you recommend agents or brokers get started if they want to make a difference?

A: Follow their heart.
